As detailed in a recent Digital Storytime article, there’s a lot more going on behind an app review site than meets the eye. Each review can take hours to generate–and when there are hundreds of apps to review, it may be weeks before a reviewer can get to your app.
As a result, many of the app review sites have started offering expedited reviews–pay a fee to move your review up to the top of the pile. There’s still no guarantee the review will be positive, just that it’ll be handled first.
Let’s discuss the pros and cons of expedited reviews and other ways to partner with app review sites in order to get the word out about your app during this Sunday’s #storyappchat, kicking off tomorrow night (11/6/11) at 9:00 p.m. EST.
UPDATE: We’ve just gotten word that David Fox of Electric Eggplant has agreed to let us give away two copies of Be Confident, their first app in the Middle School Confidential series. So we’ll see you at 9:00 p.m. during the chat!
And if you’re new to Twitter chats, no sweat. Just check out Debbie Ohi’s twitter chat cheat sheet–and use the #storyappchat hashtag to chime in!
